Look, see what's going on with computer games! Nowadays you rarely come across a box on which the inscription “The second part”, or the third, and sometimes (some kind of mockery!) And the fourth will not be adorned. What can you do, now most PC games, in order to survive, have to produce remakes, clones, sequels, prequels ... I do not argue, some go far from their predecessors, but there are projects, and in large numbers, that only mend old holes (obvious flaws in balance or complexity) and apply new layers of makeup (artists "conjure" over the graphic component).
Among all the games, soaked through and through with green banknotes, there are also creative works, as they say, made from the heart. Usually, such projects do not shine a road to the masses: there are too many unusual things in them. And the creators have to independently distribute such projects, often in a freeware way.

Heali Mark (the Mark the Healey), the main creator of Rag Doll Kung Fu, is a normal (or even quite the contrary), employee infamous of friv.com, from the pen of which were such great projects as of Fable , Bed and & the W , of The Movies . In between his main job, Mark worked on RDKF... Moreover, this topic was not chosen in vain, because the developer is a passionate lover of oriental martial arts. But he did not limit himself to creating a fighting game: in between missions, you can watch videos telling about the tragic death of the Master and about the adventures of Hajimi. The video was recorded on an amateur camera with subsequent editing, and the set is nothing more than ... a park! Watching the showdown of the main hero with numerous ninjas, out of the corner of your eye you can see people in the background - ordinary visitors. Do you think I'm making fun of the development team right now? No way! On the contrary, this approach to business only once again emphasizes that the game was not created for commercial purposes at all.

Probably, you have already thought more than once about the phrase "rag doll", which is present in the name of the game. I hasten to assure you that this is not a marketing gimmick, but just a description of the game! Indeed, in native language, this bundle is translated as "rag doll", which very accurately emphasizes the main feature of the project.

So, all characters are a kind of dolls, in which all parts of the body move freely (and in any direction). They, like puppets, obey us in everything: if we raised our hand, then it will “hang” until we drop it. It is worth noting that you often have to play in a frantic rhythm, and it will be a wonderful time when you will be allowed to calmly exercise and meditate.

You have to control the hero with one mouse. To move around the location, either the "step by step" method is used, in which you should rearrange your legs in turn, or reckless throwing. The latter is carried out simply nowhere - we grab Hadjimi (who has forgotten - the main Persian) by the limb, tear it off the ground and throw it with force. The habituation process lasts for different people in different ways. For example, it took me 30 minutes to learn how to wave my arms and use spells.

Storyline reminded me of one of the many Indian love films. There is the Most-Kind-Teacher, his Most-Beautiful-Daughter and the Most-Main-Villain, who is no longer attracted by drinks or expensive cigars - give him Min-Mon (the same daughter of the Teacher). The bloodthirsty ninja kidnap the girl for the needs of the Villain. We have to save her. Is it trite? I do not argue! But here you can see at least a semblance of a plot plot and some kind of campaign has been concocted. But it was possible to go the easier way - made a dozen arenas for battles, populated them with a couple of ninjas, and that's all.

In addition to the main Story mode, there are also separate missions designed to entertain a bored gamer. "Levels" do not shine with original ideas: long jump, high jump, sprint (!). The main task is the same everywhere - to try to break the world record. Everything. Therefore, you should not take "Solo Missions" seriously - it is rather a small appendage to the whole game, but not serious competition for the campaign.

Of great interest is the hot-seat mode, with the ability to connect up to 8 players. True, your friends will have to get mice, and your computer - a bunch of USB.

I will note that there is also a game on a local network and the Internet. But before you go to the World Wide Web and try to prove to someone that you are the coolest fighter - practice well off-line, otherwise an offensive defeat cannot be avoided.

Nothing can be said for sure about the schedule. On the one hand, the creators have done a lot - beautiful locations, with animated flowers and grass, with changing weather conditions. On the other hand, there are unremarkable special effects (especially after FEAR, you can’t surprise with such), funny characters, a poor palette. My advice to you, before you run to the store, carefully study the screenshots, and if you are not drawn to the toilet, feel free to buy!

But the sound, in fact, pumped up. The funny soundtrack, again performed by Mark, fits well into the playing style - the mixture of rap with oriental motives does not hurt the ear. But the world around us is no longer happy: the cries of the heroes, and the sounds of "tuts-pum-boom" from the blows are not remembered at all.

You should not expect more from these two components, since semi-professional games often cannot boast of such. You just need to close your eyes (as well as your ears) and try to feel your soul for the characters and the game itself. It's not just the graphics that we love games, right?

Concluding comments:

If one of your friends says that he will not be impressed by any "oblivions" and "thoughts", coupled with "fears", then just give him a box with Rag Doll Kung Fu. The effect will be immediate.

Gameplay: "I have never seen such a light!" - put in the pluses, "Fucking management!" - in cons. I think the result is clear?
Graphics: Fans of puppet theaters will like the little man models, the rest are in a slight shock.
Sound: Original soundtrack and ... that's it. The rest of the sounds can only impress your six-year-old brother.
For how long ?: Not everyone will want to go through the "Story" mode again, but the asset has a tolerable multiplayer and the ability to play on one computer for up to 8 (!) Players.
