Winter is not an easy time for the motorist. In addition to trivial things like icing the windows and freezing the lock, the car can get into more unpleasant situations. In such sometimes it is quite difficult to determine the cause of the car troubles.
One of these is a situation where the starter cranks, but the car in the cold does not start. Many modern cars have a kind of stitched lock, which is designed to prevent the engine from running. The injection system cannot be activated until the starter speed is at a certain mark. There are two solutions here: either the starter is worn out (its brushes or even the winding), or the battery can no longer deliver the necessary voltage. In both cases it is necessary to replace dead battery - it will eliminate the problem at least for a while.
It also happens that the starter barely turns, barely enough to start the engine: in general, there is not enough battery power. In this case, it is possible that some on-board device steals the charge: the battery is again on the verge of wear and tear.
Finally, about the tires: a frequent problem of the motorist in winter. The tire can let the frost inside the pavement, which is why it is so necessary to monitor the pressure in the tires. In severe frosts this is especially true: the pressure in the tire will decrease, and the lower the temperature, the lower the gas pressure will be. On the contrary, gas will expand during hot weather. Every winter motorist should control the pressure in freezing temperatures: it is better to inflate the tires to an additional 0.1-0.3 atm above the current pressure before the winter arrives.
So what to do with shivering or wobbling of the steering wheel in winter? As a rule, in this case everything happens because of snow: the car inside the disk collects slush in huge quantities. It leaves a huge amount of ice on the wheel, and this creates imbalance for the steering wheel. Do not worry: and with this ailment you can cope: firstly, check the snow on the wheels before you go out, and secondly, clean off snowy slush in advance.
